So, one of the things which has bothered me, and I may have ranted about this before but just don't remember, is scale. Generally there isn't an issue of individual scale from model to model in most games. It is when a game starts to play in a scale it really shouldn't. The reason I bring this up is the fact that recently Games Workshop has been releasing larger and larger models which irks me in a way because on a tabletop there is usually a limited amount of room for the players to use. There are other reasons too which I will get to. (p.s., there are a couple pics of this thing if your into that)

Hey everyone, I know its been a while since we've had an update, but we have been pretty busy and I just wanted to share what has been going on with you. We have finally finished the Blood Angels commission. We have also made progress on some projects and started some others. Hit Read More to see some finished and WiP pics as well. Yes. Goonies!!. In all honesty, this is more of a general update of what is going on in the studio. I don't have pictures of everything and I do apologize. I have pictures of most of it though. so. To start off the thing I don't have the pictures of are the Royal Black Watch who are currently in an olive drab primer coat but have gone no further. They will be a big part of my con games for next year. After that I have several minis awaiting paint on my shelf as well as some new arrivals which I do have some pictures. of. Hit read more to take a look. Hi everyone. This is one of my soapbox type entries. So if you dont like em, I understand, but I just need to get some stuff off my chest. Recently there has been talk of the new "Centurion" units that are being released by Games Workshop for the Warhammer 40K line as well as new Sternguard Vets and new Tactical Marines. Why am I talking about these? hit Read more to find out why... So, right now we are working on some Blood Angel models. This post is pretty short as it is pretty much a test shot of the Assault Marine squad. The backpacks and Jump Packs are being painted seperately. For some reason it seems my white balance is off and its washing the pics out slightly. I hope y'all enjoy the pics. Hit Read More to see them. Talk to ya later, CJ Yeah, you read that right. Games workshop has, in their grand wisdom, decided that the sale of "unpackaged product" is banned by their retailers. Online or otherwise. this decision will affect anyone who plays and uses bits companies to build their armies as well as companies like Spikey Bits, Battlewagon Bits, and various other companies. Why has Games workshop decided this? Well, they give several reasons which are listed below: So, I started painting way back with BattleTech and then worked my way up to stuff like Warhammer 40k, Warmachine, Reaper, and so forth. Somethign though that I have noticed over time is that people all have differetn ways of painting thier armies full of little plastic and metal men. Coming from a BattleTech background I was used to playing what is essentially a skirmish game and only needed 3 or 4 'Mechs per faction. So I ended up with about 4-5 Mechs in each house and those eventually became companies over the course of many years. heck, even without the cross compatability I have 3 different Khador "Unit Schemes". Well, its almost the new year an I just kinda wanted to ogo over what we have accomplished here at Gamers Pair - O - Dice in our short little lifespan this year. some of it goes back to last year. well, the Tyranids do, they began as a side project and GPOD sort of just inherited them as time went on. Earlier this year though the first major step was made before GPOD existed. Hi everyone, Today isnt so much a blog so much as it is an excuse to see some impressive Christmas mods. I want able to find any for Warmachine, but there is a ton for Warhammer 40K out there. I hope you enjoy them and I hope that everyone out there has a great Christmas and a wonderful and happy new year. |
